CU Broadband Public Hearing

PUBLIC NOTICE OF A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES OF THE CITY OF CLEVELAND, TENNESSEE, A/K/A CLEVELAND UTILITIES (CU) IN RELATION TO ITS BROADBAND BUSINESS PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, following approval by the Board of Public Utilities of the City of Cleveland, Tennessee, at its meeting on February 24, 2023, to all members of the public and to all interested persons that an open and public forum will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the CU Tom Wheeler Training Center located at 2455 Guthrie Drive, Cleveland, TN 37311.

The meeting is intended to allow members of the public an opportunity to comment on and provide feedback to CU’s Board of Directors and staff in relation to CU’s Broadband Business Plan following a review from the Office of the Comptroller of the State of Tennessee pursuant to §§ 7-52-601, et seq.

CU has considered the comments of the Comptroller’s office regarding this business plan and finds that the provision of broadband service should benefit Cleveland, Tennessee, through the availability of new and enhanced broadband services and intends to proceed with the provision of broadband services, subject to the requirements of applicable law.

Any member of the public that would like to speak at the meeting can register at www.clevelandutilities.com/broadband/ or by calling 423-559-7575. The registration period will close Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 5 p.m.
