Email Scam Alert

We’ve received several reports of scammers targeting CU customers. Customers are receiving emails with the verbiage “Cleveland Utilities Past 90 Days Due” in the subject line. The body of the email has a bogus name and email address with a link for customers to view a pdf file through Dropbox. Additionally, the word “Cleveland” in the email address is misspelled. THIS IS A SCAM-DO NOT CLICK THE LINK. CU will never share a late notice or files with customers through the Dropbox platform. Use caution and verify an email is legitimate before clicking any links.
